Executive Director of AIS Enterprises Elena Gosse is one of only six businesswomen to have been named as a Queensland finalist in this year’s Telstra Business Women’s Awards. In the 11 years since its inception, this prestigious Awards program has proudly honoured women whose achievements, commitment and vision have made them leaders in their chosen fields of endeavour. Just as importantly, the Awards have also taken tremendous pride in recognising women whose self-sacrifice, unwavering dedication and generosity of spirit have led others to achieve greatness in their own right. ‘It was a very useful, good exercise in itself because with life so busy, we rarely stop to take stock or look at how others might see us. It was a rewarding experience both from the new perspectives I gained from reviewing the past, present and future goals, and the new friends and business contacts I made as a finalist’, Elena said.
Elena is one of only six finalists in the Australian Government Private and Corporate Sector category. Twenty-four top Queensland businesswomen, including Elena, were honoured recently at a special Telstra function. Over 500 guests attended the gala luncheon at Sofitel Brisbane where the finalists were presented with individual awards for outstanding business success. Although not among the final winners, Elena was selected from hundreds of entries in Queensland and over 2,600 nationally. To be among finalists is considered to be an outstanding achievement.
