2005 Yellow Pages Business Ideas Grants

A Queensland pool product has beaten a host of Australian innovations in the 2005 Yellow Pages® Business Grants program. There were four categories, with each winner getting $10,000 cash and $25,000 in Sensis Advertising. AIS Enterprises, the Brisbane based Company managed by Kerry and Elena Gosse won the metropolitan medium-sized business idea award. AIS Enterprises is a manufacturing company specialising in research and development of salt-water chlorinators, has introduced the Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS) to improve the quality and reliability of technology used for pool water treatment. SMPS were originally developed for power supply in computers but AIS have redesigned them for use in salt-water chlorinators, helping improve efficiencies by reducing power consumption and heat resulting in a cleaner output and increased life span. http://www.about.sensis.com.au/big/winners.html
