Australian Innovative Systems’ EcoLine Home ™ Freshwater Chlorinator has scored a spot in the national SMART 100 List Awards. The awards, announced in Sydney earlier this week (May 27), recognise innovative, Australian, highly commercial products and services. According to SMART 100’s website winners are “changing the world, one idea at a time.”
AIS’ EcoLine technology came in at number 30 on the Smart 100 overall list, and number 24 on the Smart 100 Products list.
The EcoLine Home Chlorinator allows pool owners to enjoy a more natural, ‘freshwater’ swimming experience. EcoLine disinfects pool water using the salts and minerals already present in freshwater via a process known as electrolysis.
AIS’ award winning technology allows pool owners to bid farewell to the dangerous practice of liquid or granular chlorine storage, handling and dosing and can disinfect water with total dissolved solids (TDS) levels as low as 1,200ppm (rather than a TDS of 5,000ppm as required by most salt water chlorinators). Water feels ‘fresher’ and softer, is kinder to eyes and has almost no taste.
AIS CEO Elena Gosse said that the Smart 100 win represented acknowledgement of AIS’ innovation outside of the water disinfection industry.
