Australian Innovative Systems (AIS) and its CEO Elena Gosse have been named as national finalists in the 2015 Australian Small Business Champion Awards (ASBCA) in the Manufacturing Business (100 employees or less) and Business Entrepreneur categories. Known as the “Oscars of Small Business”, the ASBCA recognise the contribution that small business plays in shaping Australia’s economic development and culture, as well as the drive and determination shown by finalists to put small business on the map at a national level.
A proudly Australian owned and operated company, AIS is an award winning leader in the design, production and supply of commercial and residential chlorine generators and water disinfection technology. AIS’s extensive range of advanced chlorine generators can disinfect water of almost any composition from salt water to ground, town or even waste water with the company exporting its technology to over 55 countries worldwide.
Ms Gosse said that she and the AIS Team were honoured to achieve finalist status and were now looking forward to the gala awards presentation in Sydney on 18 April, 2015.
“As a successful small business with a multi-million dollar turnover it is gratifying to be recognised in two categories as finalists in these prestigious awards, Ms Gosse said.
“AIS has been designing and manufacturing for over 20 years. I believe that in that time we have made a significant contribution to economic growth and employment as well as enhanced Australia’s reputation for innovative, quality products and technology.
“Being finalists in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards is testament to the innovation, vision and hard work that the AIS team delivers each and every day for our customers.”
In supporting the awards, Australian Minister for Small Business, The Hon Bruce Billson MP said, “Small businesses are the engine room of the Australian economy. It is vital we recognise the outstanding contribution small businesses make to our nation.”
