At Elena Gosse’ Dancing CEO’s fundraising page https://www.facebook.com/ElenaGosseDancingCEO/ the Matryoshka Doll Online Facebook Auction has been launched. You have a chance to bid on a choice of 8 original Matryoshka doll sets all handpainted by Russian and Australian artists.
With thanks to Liudmila Larkina, President of the Russian Australian Representative Council of Queensland for her support of my fundraising efforts and coordination of the painting of the dolls you now have an opportunity to purchase your own Matryoshka AND to support an important cause.
The dolls are already ‘famous’ after having received a lot of media coverage as part of Elena’s Dancing CEOs campaign.
Although the dolls were originally intended to be gifted to key representatives of the community, after receiving numerous enquiries from people wishing to buy them we have decided to auction them. One set has already found a loving home with Shannon Fentiman, MP for Waterford, Minister for Communities, Women and Youth, Child Safety and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence. This Matryoshka was gifted to Minister Fentiman at a recent Access Community Services event during Queensland Women’s Week.
100% of funds raised from the Matryoshka Doll Online Facebook Auction will go to Women’s Legal Service Queensland to help women and children fleeing domestic and family violence receive free legal and welfare assistance. As your doll will be purchased through my Dancing CEOs everyday hero fundraising page your doll will be tax deductible.
Auction will be run from 1/04 till 10/4. Please tell your friends, share Elena’s post with as many people as possible and get ready to bid at 9am on April 1.
