This October, Australian Innovative Systems (AIS) CEO Elena Gosse will attend the International Pool, Spa & Patio Expo in Orlando where she will advocate for the aquatic industry to reduce its dependence on liquid or granular chlorine for recreational water disinfection.

This ambitious goal is now within reach, thanks to her firm’s latest technological breakthrough, EcoLine™, an inline chlorine generator that pushes the boundaries of disinfection by electrolysis to exciting and unprecedented levels.
Disinfection by electrolysis is accepted internationally as a technology you can trust to protect swimmers from the spread of disease in recreational water. However, until now it has been possible only in salt-water pools.
“EcoLine™ makes disinfection by electrolysis possible in water with a salinity as low as 1,200 parts per million, which is over 75% less concentrated than most standard salt water systems. This water contains so little salt that we call it a fresh-water swimming pool,” says Elena.
Disinfection by electrolysis at 1,200 ppm is, as far as AIS is aware, an industry-first.
“Our mission is to develop safer, simpler and smarter technologies for water disinfection. We launched EcoLine™ for commercial pools a few years ago. It has already helped many public swimming pools, Universities, resorts and theme parks around the world and their dependence on hazardous chemical dosing,” says Elena.
“And now we’re even more excited to announce that at the PSP Expo, EcoLine Residential will make its US-market debut.”
“EcoLine brought two dimensions of our R&D expertise together. First, our Genuine AIS Anodes. We manufacture our own anodes to our own specifications using a proprietary anode coating to get the performance needed even at ultra-low salinities. AIS was also the first to apply advanced Switch-Mode electronics used in the computer industry to inline chlorinators.” says Elena.
