Joan Pease, MP, Labor member for Lytton kindly took some time out of her busy schedule to visit AIS on 29.7.15.
AIS CEO, Elena Gosse toured Ms Pease through AIS’ headquarters and manufacturing facilities and introduced the Minister to AIS staff members.
Ms Pease spent considerable time speaking with the AIS team and was very interested to learn more about AIS’ technology, business history and the company’s expansion plans which include building a new manufacturing facility and employing 100 staff by the year 2020. Ms Pease also shared with AIS some information about new government policies.
Elena discussed with Ms Pease her views about government supporting local business, not via cash handouts but via government working in true partnership with companies such as AIS and engender support for locally produced technology and products, which in turn, provides more job opportunities for Queenslanders.
“We were very grateful that Ms Pease approached us and took the time to learn more about our business. It was clear that she could see the big picture benefits of our award-winning water disinfection technology.
“We look forward to continuing to work with all levels of government in promoting AIS’ technology for the benefit of our community’s health, wellbeing and our economy,” Elena said.
